Who am I?

My dedication to fostering greater connection, vitality, and wonder in the world has led me to work as a body therapist and facilitator of transformative presence and connection practices, like Surrendered Leadership. I am trained and certified in Manuvision therapy, a Danish system that integrates physical body therapy with the exploration of psychological processes. As a Surrendered Leadership facilitator, I frequently lead sessions in Sweden and the surrounding areas, as well as online, and I also work as a teacher on Transformational Connection's training courses.

Both body therapy and Surrenders Leadership are about knowing oneself and, through contact with oneself, finding connection with others. It's about balance and meeting reality in each moment just as it is without resistance, and therefore being able to be present for others and help with a deeply embodied experience of us being okay just as we are.

It's been a winding path, starting in childhood, that has led me to the pursuits I am engaged in today.

Background

I was a curious child, but I had a rather difficult time socially during my teenage years. To cope, I focused on the world of ideas and largely dissociated from my body. I lost interest in sports and became good at math. I read a lot and learned to program in middle school.

My interest in the abstract increased, but I liked it when it was grounded in the world. Physics was what I found most exciting. After a master's degree in computer science, I became a programmer.

Experimenting with identity

Experimenting with identity

But during university, my interest in exploring new ways of experiencing existence was awakened. Influenced by my mother's work as a researcher on alcohol's effects on the brain, and because I placed such great importance on my intellect, I had completely abstained from alcohol until I was of legal age. But in my early twenties, my curiosity about how our experience can be changed in different ways grew.

This was followed by over a decade of deep exploration of how different psychedelic substances affect one's perception of reality. My strong atheism took a few hits, and I had transformative experiences of feeling my body in new ways.

Sources of inspiration

I sought out Buddhism early on for answers, as what I read from Buddhists fit well with my experiences and I saw nothing in Buddhism that contradicted my materialistic and scientific beliefs.

For several years I was a frequent visitor and member of Lund's Zen-Center.

From there, my life has been a fun adventure of trying to understand and find synergy between the scientific search for reliable knowledge, and the spiritual search for wisdom and freedom from delusions and suffering. I have meditated a lot, read a lot of books, continued my exploration of psychedelic experiences, and trained my body. Some major sources of inspiration along the way have been Alan Watts, Robert Anton Wilson, Gurdjieff, Trungpa, Alice Miller, Gabor Maté, and Mary Oliver. What I find in them in slightly different guises is an open, curious, and non-judgmental attitude towards oneself and the world. The deeper I have managed to integrate that attitude, the more exciting new experiences have opened up.

Peering ahead

My winding path has passed through Malmö, Reykjavik, Copenhagen, and now Stockholm. I have been looking for a lifestyle and work that gives me both meaning and food on the table, and where my day to day life invites me into embodiment instead of away from. I have worked as a programmer, preschool teacher, night watchman at a hotel, personal assistant, staff at a refugee accommodation, and as a high school teacher. The experiences of living in different countries and working with very different things contribute to the fact that I can now meet my clients from a place of personal experience of different situations and perspectives.

Drawn by love

Drawn by love

Right now, I've recently moved to Stockholm, drawn here by love, and I'm in the process of developing my business here. At the same time, I'm working on deepening my connection with my vulnerability and stepping into a more public conversation about presence, mysticism, and health.

I look forward with trust and curiosity to meeting new people to journey with, together on life's path for a while; whether they are clients, workshop participants, or friends. Often, they blend into each other.
